37 stolen batteries recovered, four arrested

JAMMU: Based on a complaint which was lodged on June 11, 2021 by Deepak Daftari, son of Pushkar Nath Daftari, resident of Trikuta Nagar in which he narrated that some unknown persons have stolen 37 batteries from his shop bearing number 18, yard number 06, Transport Nagar Narwal, Jammu
On the basis of complaint, a FIR bearing number 220/2021, under Section 457/380 IPC was registered in Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation was started in this regard.
Acting swiftly Police Station Bahu Fort constituted a team under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram. The team led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania reached the spot and with the help of CCTV footages and other technical aid finally rounded up four suspects which includes–Mohd Kousar, son of Kabir Hussain, resident of Burma at present Kiryani Talab Narwal, Jammu , Surinder Sharma, son of Bishan Dass, resident of Greater Kailash and two juveniles, whose details were withheld.
During sustained questioning, the accused persons confessed their involvement in the above mentioned case and on their disclosure 37 vehicle batteries were recovered. One vehicle bearing registration number JK14B-7129 was also recovered.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain their involvement in other cases.
