Blind murder case solved; accused arrested

KATHUA: In a major breakthrough, a blind murder case was cracked by Kathua Police under by arresting the accused, who was evading arrest since day of incident.
As per details, on June 1, 2021 a missing report was lodged at Police Station Bani with respect to Sohan Lal, son of Gyan Chand, resident of Bani. On this, a major hunt was started by Police in Sub Division Basholi. With rigorous efforts of Insp H M Shahnawaz SHO Bani under the supervision of SDPO Basholi, Shazia Akhter Mir succeeded in arresting accused namely Kewal Singh, son of Bindra Ram, resident of Fatehpur Bani. On his disclosure, body of deceased namely Sohan Lal was recovered from a deep gorge at Mandhol, Bani and same was shifted to SDH Bani for autopsy and handed-over to legal heirs for last rites. Meanwhile further investigation started to ascertain involvement of accused in any other case.
