Youth Congress workers to help needy on Rahul Gandhi’s birthday

JAMMU: The Youth Wing of Congress has decided to celebrate the birthday of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on June 19 by helping poor and needy people amidst pandemic.
In this regard, J&K Pradesh Youth Congress held a meeting through video conferencing which was chaired by Shri Srinivas B.V National President IYC.
The National President interacted with all State, Districts and Assemblies office bearers of J&K Youth Congress and motivated all Office bearers by appreciating the works done by them during this pandemic.
Srinivas instructed J&K Youth Congress to help the poor & needy people in the Jammu and Kashmir on the birthday of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. “In view of the Covid-19 pandemic and the extraordinary difficulty faced by the people in the country, the Congress Party has decided not to celebrate Rahul Gandhi’s birthday by extending all possible help to poor and needy people,” Srinivas said.
Jagev Gaga, National Secretary IYC and Incharge JKPYC also guided the office bearers.
He said that the party cadre should distribute food kits among the people in distress. He said essential commodities should also be distributed among poor people while fruits should be distributed among patients.
Uday Bhanu Chib State President JKPYC expressed gratitude to the National President Srinivas and Jagev Gaga for giving their precious time to interact with the JKPYC office bearers. He assured the Senior Party functionaries that J&K Youth Congress will extend all possible help to poor and needy people.
Uday Bhanu Chib also apprised the Party’s senior leaders that during the second wave of Covid-19, the J&K Youth Congress had distributed food packets among the attendants of patients at several government hospitals besides providing ration, donating blood, essential commodities, medical kits and assistance to the needy people.
