RAJOURI: International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21 Jun with an aim to spread awareness on various health benefits of practicing Yoga. With COVID pandemic engulfing the entire world, the importance of Yoga has increased manifold. As a run up to International Yoga Day celebrations, Army at Samote took a unique initiative and organised a four day workshop on Yoga for the children of Budhal in District Rajouri (J&K).
During the workshop, the children will be introduced to various Asanas, with due emphasis on Surya namaskar and various breathing exercises.
The children are showing great enthusiasm and excitement while learning about Yoga.
The locals lauded the efforts of Indian Army and expressed their sincere gratitude for taking such unique initiative and introducing Yoga amongst the future generation to keep them fit and healthy.
A total of 20 children are attending the workshop.
