KATHUA: Police on Thursday apprehended a drug peddler near Ramkot area and recovered 25 Kg poppy straw from the vehicle, he was driving.
As per details, a police team led by Insp. Gurvinder Singh In-Charge Police Post Ramkot under supervision of SDPO Billawar Arvind Kumar, while on Naka checking duty near Ramkot, intercepted a suspicious vehicle (Mahindra Load Carrier) without any registration number. On thorough checking, approximately 25 Kg poppy straw was recovered. The accused driver namely Bishan Dass, son of Mulkh Raj, resident of Tharakalwal was arrested and FIR No 94/2021 under sections 8/15 of NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Billawar.
