Rural wrestling fraternity remembers Ustaad Prem Choudhary for his contributions

Pouni: Rural Wrestling Fraternity of Pouni remembered Ustaad Prem Choudhary Veteran Wrestler and first NIS Wrestling Coach of Jammu Kashmir for his tremendous contributions in the upliftment of wrestling across rural belts of Jammu. Meeting was organised at Mahavir Gym Pouni under the chairmanship of Sunil Sharma Owner of the gym.
Rashpal Sharma of District Reasi wrestling association said Ustaad Prem Choudhary is the founder father of Jammu Kashmir wrestling, he trained his students with such professional acumen that his students always proved hard against their opponents. I still remember the demonstration of wrestling skills by his disciples in mega wrestling events organised across Jammu region and outside especially at Akhara Gol Bagh Amritsar. Ustaad Prem Choudhary was a good trainer who used to take his students early morning from rural belts inspires, motivates and trained them for varied levels of competitions, said Sharma.
With the untimely demise of Ustaad Prem, a void has been created in Jammu Kashmir wrestling, besides he also contributed a lot in promotion of Dogri and strongly advocated for the usage of mother tongue with kids so that moral values and ethics be inculcated upto next generations, the memories of his visit as Chief Guest on the celebrations of Dogri Diwas at GHSS Laiter are still refreshing when he inspired and motivated the local youth towards participation in games and sports,said Mohinder Kumar Guddu President of Namma Duggar Kala , Manch Bhambla
Choudhary Prem was a great hope for budding wrestlers of state who always stand in forefront for their welfare. His policy of one medal one promotion for in-service players in state Police is quite inspiring which can raise the morale of players and more medals be put in state bucket said Mohan Lal Sharma Sarpanch Barnara District Rajouri. All members of wrestling fraternity present over there unanimously decided to organise more wrestling competitions in the memory of Ustaad Prem and to felicitate outstanding players with Ustaad Prem Choudhary Khel Sammaan which will definitely boost the morale of local youth towards participation in ingenious sport of wrestling
At the end, tributes were paid by showering petals on the portrait of Ustaad Choudhary Prem and all prayed for peace to the noble soul.
