JAMMU: The Dogra Sahayata Kendra, Jammu has demanded that in view of the difficulties being faced in the registration process for vaccination of 18+ persons, due to poor internet connectivity in the far flung areas, special camps for their vaccination on the basis of Aadhaar card may be organized in such remote areas.
This issue was raised in a joint meeting of the Central Coordination Committee and district Units held on line today 26th of June 2021 to take stock of the measures undertaken to fight the covid 19 in Jammu Division. In a statement issued here, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak President Dogra Sadar Sabha and Chairman of Dogra Sahayata Kendra emphasized that there was no scope for complacency in view of the reports of detection of the delta plus variant in Jammu division and warnings by experts regarding high probability of a third wave. He said that measures need to be taken on war footing to ensure timely vaccination of the entire population before the next wave strikes.
He urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, to direct the concerned administrative and health authorities to equip the COVID care centers in all Panchayats, especially in far flung areas, adequately with oxygen facilities and trained staff, well in time, to meet any eventuality, so that precious lives of the people in these areas can be saved.
