JAMMU: Belonging to City of Temples, Kanav Gupta, son of Kamal Gupta and Kanchan Gupta, has been doing experimental works since 2004 when he invented a fiction character ‘NAily’ out of scratches of nails. At that time, he was in 9th class and studying in Delhi Public School, Jammu. He went on experimenting with NAily and create paintings, T-shirts (2012), commercially successful lettering art with NAily (2018). He further went ahead with his long due dream and became World’s first artist to do a live online exhibition of Paintings & lettering art. After that, Kanav became active in pencil-sketching and has created some nice sketches. His sketch for famous rapper Ikka Singh has been personally appreciated by rapper both on Facebook and Instagram. Not to end here, Kanav’s recent venture into watercolour art got wings when his watercolor portrait of legendary Punjabi music composer Sukshinder Shinda was appreciated by the star himself.
Kanav is first artist in J&K to use Augmented Reality (AR) for his artistic creations. Augmented Reality is an enhanced version of real physical world, achieved through the use of digital visual elements, sound or other sensory stimuli delivered via technology.
