Two theft cases solved, thief arrested

RAJOURI: Manjakote Police team led by SHO Farooq Ahmed under the supervision of SDPO Tanveer Jeelani of district Rajouri arrested a burglar involved in committing two thefts at religious places and was trying to steal valuables from Peer Baba Ziarat situated at Ghambir Brahmna.
According to information, a police team, on basis of a tip, apprehended a person namely Arif Hussain, son of Abdul Hussain, resident of Darhal Khurad while he was trying to steal valuables from Peer Baba Ziarat situated at Gambhir Brahmna. Accordingly, Police registered FIR No 98/2021 under sections 379 and 511 of IPC and started investigation, during which the accused confessed that he had committed theft in Shiv Mandir, Gambhir Brahmna, for which FIR No 98’2021 under sections 379 and 511 of IPC has already been registered. The accused was also wanted in FIR 89/2021 under sections 457,378, 295 of IPC.
