SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday recorded 262 new positive cases of Corona virus– 120 from the Jammu division and 142 from the Valley, thus taking the total number to 318023 in the Union Territory.
“Also four COVID-19 deaths have been reported, two each from Jammu Division and the Kashmir Valley”, official said.
Moreover, 353 more COVID patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 136 from Jammu Division and 217 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 91.70 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said that one confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported during the past 24 hours, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 31 in the UT.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 318023 positive cases, 3344 are Active Positive, 310326 have recovered and 4353 have died; 2125 in Jammu division and 2228 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 10441369 test results available, 10123346 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 2516553 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7572 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 3344 in isolation and 261810 in home surveillance. Besides, 2239474 persons have completed their surveillance period.
