SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 179 new positive cases of novel Corona virus cases, 62 from the Jammu Division and 117 from the Valley, taking the tally to 319755 in the Union Territory.
Officials said, one more death was recorded in the Jammu Division during the past 24 hours.
Moreover, 277 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 113 from Jammu Division and 164 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 99.17 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.

India record s 38,079 fresh cases
New Delhi: India recorded 38,079 new coronavirus cases, which took the infection tally to 3,10,64,908, while the death toll reached 4,13,091 with 560 more fatalities, according to Union health ministry data updated on Saturday.
The active cases have declined to 4,24,025 and comprise 1.36 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.31 per cent, the data updated at 8 am showed.
It said that active COVID-19 cases have decreased by 6,397 in a span of 24 hours.
The ministry said that 19,98,715 tests were conducted on Friday, taking the total cumulative tests conducted for detection of COVID-19 in the country to 44,20,21,954.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.91 per cent and it has been less than three per cent for 26 consecutive days, it said.
The weekly positivity rate stands at 2.10 per cent, according to the health ministry.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 3,02,27,792, while the case fatality rate has increased to 1.33 per cent, the data stated.
The total vaccine doses administered has reached 39.96 crore under the nationwide vaccination drive.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 319755 positive cases, 2017 are Active Positive, 313375 have recovered and 4363 have died; 2132 in Jammu division and 2231 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 1096788 test results available, 10647733 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 2620984 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 9180 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 2017 in isolation and 304861 in home surveillance. Besides, 2300563 persons have completed their surveillance period.
The Bulletin informed no case of Mucormycosis during the past 24 hours, thus the total number of confirmed cases remaining 33 in the UT.
