‘Kathua Police will strengthen police-public relationship’

KATHUA: Police-public meet was organised under the programme at Hiranagar Police Station by the police to curb the crime completely with the cooperation of the local public. The meeting was attended by former MLA Kuldeep Raj, BDC Ram Lal Kalia and DDC members and councilors of various wards, Sarpanchs of various Panchayats, Panchs, besides a large number of respected citizens and general public of the area. The meeting was presided over by District Police Chief SSP RC Kotwal. Its DSP Border Sachit Mahajan, Hiranagar police station in-charge Anil Sharma and other officers were especially present. Participating in the meeting people raised various issues like traffic problem in the area, drug abuse, bovine smuggling, illicit liquor etc. among others.
SSP listened to the current burning issues raised by the people and assured that it would be his endeavor to resolve their genuine grievances at the earliest so that more and more conducive and peaceful environment could be created in the society. The objective of the meeting was to strengthen the mutual coordination between the public and the police administration and to remove the distance created by many misconceptions. At the end of the meeting, SSP Kathua thanked the people for attending the meeting and assured that more such meetings would be held more frequently in the near future.
