30-member delegation of MPs pays obeisance at Raghunath Temple

JAMMU: Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language on Sunday visited the historic Shree Raghunath Temple and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the country.
The 30-member delegation was led by Ranjanben Bhatt, Member Parliament Lok Sabha, Vadodara Constituency, Gujarat; Member Parliament Betul (ST) Constituency, Madhya Pradesh and Member Parliament Rajya Sabha, Dr Sushil Gupta and.
The delegation was received by Ajay Gandotra, President J&K Dhramarth Trust and Secretary Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma. The Parliamentary Delegation visited Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh UTs for the promotion of Hindi language.
Ajay Gandotra briefed the visiting dignitaries about the significance of this most iconic temple in Jammu and Kashmir. He told the delegation about the vital role which the century old Dharmarth Trust plays in looking after the affairs of the temple which is epitome of Jammu’s rich cultural heritage that led to its name as ‘City of Temples’ under the patronage of Dr Karan Singh ji.
The Member Parliament Lok Sabha, Ranjanben Bhatt appreciated the management of the Trust for doing yeoman’s job in maintaining Raghunath Temple and scores of other religious shrines in the Union Territory of J&K.
The Member Parliament said that she has already visited this temple thrice as the visit to this temple gives her immense satisfaction and positive vibes which are really blissful.
Member Parliament Dr Sushil Gupta appealed to the people of the country not to miss the chance to visit Raghunath ji Temple whenever they are in the City of Temple. He said that of the many attractions that make J&K a cultural paradise in the country, Raghunath ji Temple is the most iconic and popular one. “Located in the heart of Jammu city, this temple is embodiment of local heritage that it will take your breath away”, he added after going through various temples situated within the main complex, the visiting dignitaries said that although the beauty of Jammu is scintillating but majestic architecture and glorious beauty of Raghunath ji Temple surely leaves visitors spellbound.
Earlier, V.P Singh, Member Parliamentary Committee paid obeisance at Shri Raghunathji Temple. V P Singh was warmly welcomed by the President of the Trust and took a round of the temple complex. He appreciated the Trust for doing yeoman’s job in looking after all the temples.
