JAMMU: The 123rd Mahajayanti of Jagadguru Bhagawaan Gopinathji was celebrated on Wednesday at Bhagwaan Gopinathji Ashram, Udheywala, Bohri, here with great enthusiasm.
Devotees thronged to the Ashram from early morning where the Trust Management had made adequate COVID-19 protocol to pay obeisance at the feet of the Master. The Ashram at Bohri is a Sidh-Peeth for the devotees. The programme started with Paduka Poojan at 8:30 AM i.e. worshipping of the symbolic Paduka (a wooden Kharavoon) of Bhagawaanji. Also number of Sadhus were fed, on this occasion and given Dakshina (cash offerings) at their respective places.
The same has been the practice during Bhagawaanji’s life-time. Devotional songs and music followed and continued till late in the evening. There was intense activity throughout the day. Thousands of devotees attended the celebrations and took Parsad. The function passed off peacefully, thanks to the orderly behaviour of the devotees. Concurrently, on this auspicious occasion a book was also released titled “Sezar Pazer Shozar” by the Trust.
The Mahajayanti was also celebrated across all Ashrams at Kharyar, Srinagar; Kashmir, Greater Kailash-I, Pamposh Enclave; New Delhi, Hastsal Village, Vikaspuri; New Delhi, S.No. 14/5, Nande Balewadi Road, Nande; Pune, Maharashtra and at 57/5, Devangondi Hosahalli, White Field, Bengaluru.
