JAMMU: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) and Secretary Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) JKUT, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, on Saturday started the blacktopping of internal roads of Vishal Colony Babliana in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment. Randhawa said that development is the core agenda and mantra of BJP to win the hearts of the people. “We are committed to implement it on ground to ensure that development reaches every nook and corner without any discrimination”, Randhawa added. “
The party is committed to develop all underdeveloped hamlets of Jammu region irrespective of vote bank politics”, Randhawa said. He said that it was a long pending demand of the people of the colony which now stands fulfilled and the blacktopping work at an estimated cost of Rs 16 lakh has been executed by the Public Works Department (PWD). He further said that all the roads in newly carved out colonies in Gandhi Nagar would be blacktopped as road connectivity is the key ingredient of development. Randhawa further said that a mega project to blacktop all roads of Jammu region is in progress and sooner the people will see the change on ground.
Others who were present on the occasion include Bharat Bhushan Mandal President, Vijay Sharma, Parshotam Chalotra, Ramneek Singh and Varun Verma.
