STATE TIMES NEWS RAMNAGAR: To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabbhai Patel, NSS Unit of Govt Degree College Ramnagar organized two days’ programme to observe Rashtriya Ekta Diwas under the noble patronage of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar and guidance of Prof Ritika Mahajan, NSS PO of the college. To preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of our Nation, the value of strong and united nation given by our nation builder Sardar Vallabbhai Patel plays an important role. In connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, NSS volunteers, students and staff of the college unitedly took Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge. Then after, Principal of the college Dr UdheyBhanu urged the students that such pledge binds each individual to be a better citizen and be responsible about their national duties. An online lecture was also organized. Prof Swarna Devi, HOD Political Science GDC Ramnagar was the resource person. She explained how unity in disparity is important for the development of a nation but the need of the hour is to respect each others religion, customs, culture and traditions.Students and NSS volunteers took keen interest and participated in Query session also. Prof Suresh Kumar Dogra, HOD Physics felicitated the programme and Prof Brinder Kumar, Convener IQAC delivered vote of thanks.
