JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) on Saturday organized a state level debate competition under ‘Young India ke Bol’ in which finalists of district level participated for entry into the State level competition. The aim of this programme is to select the spokespersons for the Congress Party from amongst the youth.
For this competition that is being organized under the supervision of Udhay Bhanu Chib, President JKPYC, panel of judges for today comprised Senior Advocate Anuj Manotra and Ruhani Sawhney. Udhay said that ‘Young India Ke Bol’ is a golden opportunity for youth of J&K UT to connect to the ideology of India National Congress (INC). He said that it will provide opportunity even to the youth coming from non-political background to serve the party by occupying significant positions beginning as the spokespersons of the party.
Uday Chib said that this programme is basically a speech competition event whereby spokespersons would be selected at district and state levels. He informed that five winners will be selected from the competition at the district level and finally, ten winners will be selected at state level. The aforesaid five winners will be appointed as the District Youth Congress spokespersons while the other ten winners will be appointed as State Youth Congress spokesperson for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, he added. He further informed that the five selected participants from every state would participate at the national level competition in New Delhi on November 14 and the winners of the National level competition would be appointed as the IYC national spokespersons.
Among those who were participated in the programme include Akshay Singh National spokesperson IYC In-charge J&K, Ajaz Choudhary Vice President JKPYC, Sahil Singh Langeh General Secretary JKPYC, Latish Sharma and Manpreet Singh Secretary JKPYC.
