STATE TIMES NEWS KATRA: 84th Monthly General Body Meeting of Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra (Regd.) was held at PWD Guest House Katra on Sunday. Meeting was chaired by its President, Shiv Kumar Sharma followed by welcome address and proceedings were conducted by Chanay Ram, Executive Member of the forum. In the beginning, Immunity boosting Medicines were distributed by Department of Ayush under the supervision of Ravinder Pandita, District officer. Dr. Shadi Lal Pandita And Dr. Dilawar Khan explained the prescription of Medicines. A team of Induslnd Bank Katra also paid their visit in the meeting. Shivender Gupta, branch manager explained in brief about the working, door step service by bank, rate of interest and flexibility of the loans for different purposes. Birthdays of four worthy members Chanay Ram, Babu Ram Sharma, Chuni Lal and Sobha Ram were celebrated in the meeting by giving warm greetings by the President and presenting them a gift by the senior members and President. Deepak Dubey (JKAS), Dy. CEO, SMVD Shrine Board was the Chief Guest on this occasion who was honoured by presenting him a Mata Ki Chunari and a Pagri (Turbon). While Ashok Kumar Verma, retired senior bank manager from OBC bank was also honoured by presenting him a Mata Ki Chunari and Pagri for his noble contribution for providing financial assistance of Rs.12, 000/- per year to Rakesh Kumar, a Paralympian Archer who represented India to play at Tokyo, Japan. 29 members of the forum were present. Meeting was concluded with vote of thanks by Sukhdev Singh vice-president of the forum.
