There cannot be truer than this fact that only constant in this world is change. Change is a ubiquitous phenomenon which overlaps everything in this mundane world. There is nothing on the planet earth which does not have to pass through the process of transformation and upheavals. What it signifies is the simplest truth that life is not static and the circumstances surrounding it keep on shuffling fast like that of a kaleidoscope. From living to non-living to men to flora and fauna, all creatures keep on passing through eternal transmogrification and so there is nothing weird about it.
However, all changes that occur in our life do not always bring happiness to us, they do not always augur well for us. A few of them make us happy while others bring about incalculable havocs and unprecedented vicissitudes as a result of which we get panicked and perplexed. Sometimes they also become the cause of great frustration, unbearable grief and deep agonies. But it does not mean that we should give in to the challenges brought about by the changes in life and take them granted that they cannot be overcome and defeated.
Roger Crawford, the famous US tennis player and motivational speaker, had once said, “Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.”Adversities in life are natural and they make inherent parts of life. Life doesn’t move without problems but vice versa is not correct. Problems start right with the birth and last until the death. The famous US former professional basketball player Michael Jordan also believed in the same philosophy of taking on the challenges of life boldly when he said, “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” There is no denying the fact that obstacles function as the speed breaker and that is why they obstruct our path of the great achievements. But indomitable courage to brave the problems incredibly makes us stronger and bolder. The incident evokes the scenario when everything becomes calmer and clearer once the tempest is gone.
The American Baptist minister Martin Luther King Jr. has very aptly said, “Our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change.” Life is the matter of a series of adjustments and compromises with the circumstances befalling us. We need to be stubborn, determined and committed to fight the adverse phases of life with unshakeable conviction. The tendency to dodge and drift from the problems of life only aggravates the situation and ultimately leads us to more trials and tribulations.
