Kathua: Under the ministry of youth affairs and sports, Govt. of India and NSS regional directorate of New Delhi, the NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC), Kathua started one month long “Clean India Campaign” w.e.f 1st December- 31st December 2021 which was concluded on Friday. On the concluding day volunteers organised cleanliness drive at Taraf Sanji, the surrounding village of NSS adopted village Bhagthali. Under this Campaign today NSS volunteers conducted a Swachhata Abhiyaan to say Bye-Bye to Plastic and polythene under #Clean India Campaign. The activity was done under the banner of ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
The NSS volunteers gathered in the village and started door to door campaign.I n the campaign volunteers interacted with the villagers and appealed them to say no to Single use Plastic and polythene and use jute bag instead of polythene.
Prof. Raj Kiran Principal, GDC Kathua applauded the untiring efforts of the NSS team and Volunteers.
Activity was performed under the supervision of NSS program Officers Prof. Manmohan Singh, Prof. Ritu Kumar Sharma and Prof. Neha Bandral.
