DLSA Udhampur holds awareness programme on trafficking victims

UDHAMPUR: District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, under the guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Y P Bourney on Monday organised an awareness programme, in collaboration with the Education Department, to raise awareness about the “Victims of Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation.”
The aim of the Programme was to spread awareness about the issues related to Sexual Exploitation.
The DLSA, Udhampur organised a webinar on the Subject attended by the students of Government Higher Secondary School Krimchi; Government Higher Secondary School Salmeri; Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School Udhampur and Government High School Garhi, Uhampur. Secretary DLSA Rajni Sharma (Sub Judge), while raising awareness about the sensitive subject, informed the participants about the various initiatives run by the Government of India in favour of Victims of Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation.
The Principals of the schools Chanchla Devi, Nasib Singh, Renu Sharma & Santosh Kumari along with the school staff were also present in the Programme.
The Participants were made aware about the different schemes of NALSA related to rehabilitation of victims of trafficking by Rajni Sharma (Sub Judge) Secretary; DLSA Udhampur. The Resource Persons of the Programme were Panel Lawyers Adv. Pawan Gupta, Adv. Nikhileshwar Singh and Adv. Mallikarjun Singh Slathia.
