JAMMU: Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee (SRMWC) has decided to take out Shobha Yatra of Lord Shiva on February 28, on the eve of Mahashivratri Festival which falls on March 1. In this regard, Onkar Sharma (Nandi Ji), President of the Committee, met Trustee of J&K Dharmarth Trust and former Minister, Ajatshatru Singh and requested him to participate in the Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Shiva on February 28. Onkar Sharma informed that a grand Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Shiva will be jointly taken out by Jammu and Kashmir Dharamarth Trust and SRMWC.
He said that the Shobha Yatra will start from Shri Ranbireshwar Temple and will pass through all main Bazaars of the old city viz. Indira Chowk, Hari Market, Raghunath Bazaar Chowk , Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Old Hospital Road, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazaar, Mubarak Mandi, Upper Bazaar, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazaar, Parade Chowk and will finally culminate at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple.
Former Minister, Ajatshatru Singh complemented the Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee for taking out Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Shiva on every year on the occasion of Maha Shivratri Festival. He consented to participate in the Shobha Yatra on the request of Ajay Gandotra, President J&K Dharmarth Trust, who was also present on the occasion. Later, Onkar Sharma and Ajay Gandotra felicitated Ajatshatru Singh, Trustee of J&K Dharmarth Trust.
