JAMMU: Violating the directions of investigators, chronic municipal laws offender Shiv Kumar Sharma, husband of the alleged fraudulent woman Anita Sharma, appeared before the Crime Branch in connection with the investigation into forged signatures while applying to Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for approval of blue- prints for house number 84/110-A Block (Pvt) Gandhi Nagar.

The investigations so far revealed that Anita Sharma, wife of Shiv Kumar Sharma applied fraudulently vide application No: 2890 on December 28, 2019 whereas she had already sold the aforesaid house to one Shaguna Gupta, wife of Rakesh Gupta vide two sales deeds executed on December 26, 2015 and September 28, 2018 respectively and had no right over the said building in 2019.

It was further alleged that Anita Sharma placed scanned signature on application instead of signing the same with pen. The enquiry in the matter revealed that this fraud has been committed to befool the Jammu Municipal Corporation to build a house illegally at plot No: 44 D/C Gandhi Nagar which has been purchased by Anita Sharma for Rs 6 Crores.
Today, Shiv Kumar Sharma appeared in the Crime Branch office instead of his wife Anita Sharma and tried to persuade the authorities not to call his wife. Shiv Kumar Sharma was snubbed by the investigators for befooling the government as well as the Crime Branch. Further, he has been directed to produce his wife following the probe into the serious allegations of violating municipal laws and cheating the government.
When the matter came to the notice of JMC, they issued notice under Section 7(1)8(1) on May 28, 2021, and to which Anita Sharma approached the Tribunal and stay was granted by the Court to maintain status quo.
The Crime Branch wing of J&K Police has started investigations as major fraud has been detected during perusal of the record whereby it was confirmed that ground floor and first floor of the building too have been constructed illegally, though it was hided in the notice served and the stay granted by the Tribunal.
Here it is relevant to mention that Shiv Kumar Sharma constructed a double-story commercial complex at 313-A, Apsara Road, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, the matter of which is also hanging in the court.
An employee of JMC, when contacted, for further details in illegal construction of 313-A, Apsara Road, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, said, that the acts of this couple are like Bunty-Bubbly Case.
