The home ministry on Wednesday directed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to take over the investigation of brutal murder of a tailor in Udaipur and probe involvement of any organisation and international links. Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday said tailor’s murder in Udaipur “is not an ordinary incident”. He added that the conspiracy and links to tailor’s killing will be deciphered soon. Two assailants on Tuesday beheaded a tailor in Udaipur for a social media post supporting ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma in the row over her remarks on the Prophet.
