First Sahodaya GBM 2022-23 held at JK Public School Kunjwani

JAMMU: The Conference room of JK Public School, Kunjwani, witnessed the congregation of Principals from the CBSE schools of Jammu division to attend the first General Body Meeting (GBM) of Jammu Sahodaya School Complex (JSSC).

The host school Principal, Rajesh Rathore extended welcome to all the JSSC member Principals and exhibited the conventional hospitality of the institution with delicious cuisine in the dining hall of the school campus.
During the General Body Meeting, Randeep Wazir, the Joint Secretary, JSSC & Principal, IDPS, Jammu delivered the formal welcome address and introduced the newly appointed members to the House.
The new joinees shared a brief introduction about themselves. She also reflected upon her comprehensive plan to revamp the website of Jammu Sahodaya, which was applauded by all.
Then the most important agenda point was tabled on the floor, that is, the finalization of JSSC Activity Calendar 2022-23.
Some activities were falling on a single day and they were deliberated upon and with consensus arrived at the culmination point.
KL Dogra, Secretary (Finance) JSSC and Principal, MV International School, Samba presented the Income and Expenditure report of the JSSC and appealed the members for being very prompt in making their payments.
Once the core issues were dealt with, Rajesh Rathore, the President JSSC, addressed the house and congratulated the member Principals on being the exemplary Team leadersto be emulated by others.
He also praised the member Principals of Jammu Sahodaya for exhibiting the true spirit of Sahodaya, which has been enshrined in the coinage ‘RISING TOGETHER’ and for making its brilliant manifestation in every activity of JSSC. Responding to the boom of dummy admissions prevalent around, he appealed fellow Principals to be the custodian of strong value system & repose their trust in holistic grooming of students, conquering all the hurdles & hardships on the way and emerge victors. He appealed the intellectual audience to focus more on the inculcation of life skills, namely, critical thinking, creative thinking, decision making, problem solving, coping with stress & coping with emotions.
It was followed by a brief presentation on the topic, “Leadership skills for Principals”, by Dr. Atul Nishchal, Founder, International Council for School Leadership (ICSL), New Delhi. He promised to extend his best support to Jammu Sahodaya and Jammu schools, as his roots are from Jammu. The board of ICSL,empowered by several eminent personalities, is known for transforming schools into Institutions. He promised to offer various ICSL-run programmes free of cost to all the Army Public Schools of the region as well as to those State Board schools, which are extremely promising and recommended by Jammu Sahodaya. He gifted a Coffee Table book titled “Lead the Change” to every Principal present on the occasion.
At the end, Ranju Malhotra, Secretary (Media & Info), JSSC & Principal, DBN Vidya Mandir, Amarvilla, Jammu proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude on behalf of Jammu Sahodaya to the mentors, KCS Mehta, Vijay Puri & Dr. Pramod Srivastava; all the attendee Principals & the host school Principal Rajesh Rathore for hosting the GBM with wonderful hospitality and warmth, to be cherished by all.
