MUNers from JKPS Kunjwani win EMUN Best Delegation Trophy

JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS) Kunjwani bagged the Best Delegation Trophy of Erudite MUN, hosted by International Delhi Public School, Jammu.
It’s pertinent to mention here that the Erudite Model United Nations Conference scheduled from August 5 to 7, 2022 witnessed well-equipped delegates from more than 25 schools trying their fortunes in the sprawling IDPSJ campus to prove their competence and skills.
JKPS proved their mettle with their clear stand, convincing line of argument and befitting examples to substantiate their points and acclaimed the best Delegation Trophy at the Erudite MUN 2022, held at IDPS Jammu.
Though the competition was tough and nail biting, Jkiians presented their grandeur and proved their undefined potential and caught the spotlight at the show.
Though being first timers, the young Jkiians caught the lime light as 6 verbal mentions and 4 podiums. Five committees including Lok Sabha, National Commission for Women (NCW), Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) and International Press (IP) were there. Adit Sharma bagged the first position for best reporting.
JKPS delegates participated in 4 of the prescribed committees, namely, International Press in which first position was bagged by Adit Sharma. In Lok Sabha, great performance was shown by Rameshwar as Adhir Ranjan Choudhary and secured second position, followed by Ridham Mishra as Mehbooba Mufti, Japanjot Singh as Manish Tewari, Manyata Sambyal as Tejasvi Surya and Angel Sharma as Nirmala Sitaraman, who were recognized in the verbal mention. In the National Commission for Women, Radhika Bhan got 3rd place which was appreciated by the senior Chairperson. In CSW, JKPS Kunjwani delegates too rocked the committee as the 3rd position was secured by Sanchita Sahi (Tunisia) verbal mention by Saahish Gupta (Pakistan). Despite being their first MUN session, out of the total 14 delegates that participated, 6 verbal mentions and 4 podiums bagged by 10 of the delegates.
Amidst thunderous applause JK Public School, Kunjwani Jammu lifted the Best Delegation Trophy of EMUN.
Principal JKPS Kunjwani, Rajesh Rathore expressed his gratitude to the mentors who worked hard, groomed students and polished their skills.
He appreciated Team IDPS Jammu for providing a brilliant platform to students to discuss global challenges, deliberate on crucial issues, brining to the fore their diplomatic skills, analyzing perspective and arriving at the solution.
Director JK Education Society, Shashi Choudhary lauded the passionate endeavours put in by the proud recipients of various titles. She inspired students to keep exploring their full potential and keep bringing laurels to the Institution.
