Investiture Ceremony held at JK Public School Kunjwani

JAMMU: “If we want to create leaders of tomorrow; there is no better time to develop our students than today.”
With the belief in the above mentioned quote and with the intent of creating worthy future leaders, JK Public School Kunjwani elected the student representatives after brainstorming, nominations and interviews. The chosen council took the oath and officially assumed responsibility in the Investiture Ceremony held on Friday.
The council promised to uphold the ethos and values of JK Public School and work as a team to take the school to greater heights.
The ceremony was presided over by the Principal, Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal, Shashi Rattan and the School Coordinator, Inderjeet Kaur.
Among the dignitaries present were the Chief Guest Sapna Kotwal Joint Director, Information Department Jammu; Chairman JK Educational Society, Raj Daluja; Director, JK Educational Society, Shashi Choudhary and proud parents of the chosen council.
The ceremony began with the welcome address by the Principal, Rathore who welcomed the present august gathering and congratulated the proud parents.
He talked about the illustrious life of the Chief Guest, Sapna Kotwal who is a 2008 batch KAS Officer and a role model to J&K youth.
He lauded the efforts of the teachers calling them diamantaires, who chisel the persona of their students and polish their skills to their utmost versions. He urged the members of the elected council to shoulder the responsibility with conviction.
He said that this was just a stepping stone to becoming world leaders. Then the school choir presented the school song. This was followed by the introduction of the newly elected Student Council members. Badges and sashes were pinned and the proud new council took the oath to uphold the dignity and integrity of the school and serve the institution with impartiality and honour to the best of their ability.
The Chief Guest, in her speech, congratulated the Council Members. She advised them to be honest, impartial and unbiased in the discharge of their duties. She said that children should never break the faith and trust of their parents and teachers.
The Head Boy, Shariq Raza and Head Girl, Manyata Sambyal along with their team, took the oath to uphold the School’s Motto in high esteem. They were joined by their Main Council and the team of Prefects. Flags were handed over to the captains of various Houses and students were told to uphold the dignity of the House they represent.
Parents were elated and congratulated each other. They thanked the school for having reposed faith in their children and giving them this responsibility. Vice Principal, Shashi Rattan delivered the vote of thanks.
She thanked the magnanimous management for providing a platform for the students to achieve greater heights in life. She thanked one and all who had directly or indirectly associated with the programme.

The Discipline Perfect (Boys) are Siddhant Singh, Adiyta Gupta, Vansh Sharma, Burhan-ud-Din Rubbani and Anshuman Bhagat.
The Discipline Prefects (Girls) are Akriti Shonka, Pratyaksha Salathia, Parmitika Singh, Saara Kohli and Tamana Kumari.
