‘Swachhta Se Sewa’ Abhiyan launched by MV International School

SAMBA: ‘Swachata se Sewa’ Abhiyan was launched by MV International School at the DC Samba Office complex, here on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta was the Chief Guest while Sukhleen Kour, CPO and Manu Hansa, ACR Samba were the special guests on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner, while speaking in the school, shared her idea of ‘Har Ghar Mein Champion’ and Swachata initiatives of District Administration Samba.
Teachers of MV International School presented a ‘Nukkad Natak’ highlighting the enormity of the situation.
Forward looking vision of cleanliness effort and swachata pledge was taken by the students who were aptly named as ‘Swachata Sainiks’ of the school.
Staff & students of the school had prepared more than 500 cloth bags from discarded clothing, which were displayed there, for free distribution to the gathering.
School Director, Gourav Abrol and Principal Kundan Lal Dogra shared that this initiative would not end by mere celebration of Gandhi Jayanti; there is an action plan to create, record number cloth bags from discarded clothing and spread this initiative to the general public at large.
Anuradha Gupta shared her deep satisfaction over the effort, that the school has made, to give a new dimension to Har Ghar Mein Champion initiative.
She praised the school for executing this initiative in a wider perspective and urged everyone to concentrate their effort to support district administration to make District Samba, clean & green.
At the end of the programme, the guests flagged-off the ‘Swachata Sainik Express’ of the school, in which six school buses carried the school students and staff to six Tehsils of District Samba to meet respective Tehsildars in their offices along with their office members of the tehsil.
The officials in return greeted these teams and supported the movement by taking part in Swachata pledge and distribution of cloth bags to staff and visitors of their offices.
