POONCH, Nov 5: Two persons were injured when a leopard attacked them at Saroi village of Mandi in Poonch, here today.
The injured were identified as Abdul Ghani, son of Subhana Dar and Abdul Rashid son of Abdul Aziz Dar, both residents of Saroi, Attoli in Mandi.
The duo was going to collected grass from their fields when a leopard suddenly attacked one of them. As the other person tried to rescue the first one, leopard attacked on him also and left both of them injured.

The injured were brought to Sub District Hospital Mandi and according to the doctors, one among them was having head and neck injury while the other one had received injuries on thigh with back trauma.
After initial treatment, Abdul Rashid was shifted to GMC Rajouri, while another injured was taken to District Hospital Poonch, where they are under treatment.
Meanwhile, locals have alleged negligence of Wildlife Department and sought attention of the department for their security from the wild beast.
