Shraddha Walkar, whose body was allegedly chopped into many pieces by her live-in partner Aaftab Amin Poonawalla, had written to police in 2020, saying Aaftab tried to kill her and threatened to cut her up in pieces. She further wrote, “Its been six months he has been hitting me, but I did not have the guts to go to he police, because he would threaten to kill me. His parents are aware that he tried to kill me.” Forensic officials on Tuesday conducted a range of preliminary tests, which are required before a polygraph examination, on Aaftab Poonawala. They will conduct a lie-detector examination on him on Wednesday as he was found fit to undergo the same. Aaftab is likely to face around 40 primary questions and an equal number of follow-up queries during the test.
