5 CRPF men injured in road accident

UDHAMPUR, Mar 15: Five CRPF personnel were injured when their vehicle was hit by a Truck at Mand near Tikri on the National Highway, here this morning.
The CRPF personnel were on patrolling duty when an over speed Truck, bearing registration number PB06B-7355 , on its way from Udhampur to Jammu, hit CRPF vehicle (JK02BN-6560), around 6.50 am, resulting into injuries to four Assistant Sub-Inspectors and one Selection Grade Constable.
Locals and Police rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to Naryana Hospital Kakryal for treatment. Their condition was stated to be stable.
The injured were identified as CRPF Assistant Sub-Inspector Brij Lal, Special Grade Constable Ashok Kumar, ASI Govind Raj, ASI S Silver Raj and ASI Romesh.
In this connection case FIR number 62/2023, under section 279/337 IPC has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
