Sparkle holds workshop for underprivileged

JAMMU, May 21: In its endeavour to impart literacy and skills to the ones who have the potential but lack resources, Sparkle Women’s Club held a one-day workshop at Shalz Medispa.
The students were taught the basics of makeup, hair dos, skin care and beauty. This was done so that who are interested can pursue it as a career. Sparkle Club will ensure that these students get the required jobs so that they can earn their livelihood.
Shivani Gupta (owner of Shalz Medispa), a renowned makeup artist and beauty aesthetician and a founder member of Sparkle women’s club said, “Look and learn is an effort to groom underprivileged children towards a futuristic approach for making a career and earn their livelihood. Also some classes are planned in the coming times where they will be given a certified course which will help them be bread earners for their families “
Highlighting their goals, Gunjan Kohli, founder member Sparkle said, “The purpose of the Club is to interact, exchange ideas and give back to the society. We at Sparkle intend to create awareness, we hold hands and work towards elevating each other. In this respect we have decided to work in the field of literacy, skills and livelihood for those who cannot afford it.”
The workshop was followed by a ‘Meet and Greet’ for the members of the Club. There was also a talk for the members on skin care and beauty regime by Sanna Sahil, founder and owner of Sama organics and a member of Sparkle. She is the pioneer in the field of homemade and organic beauty products. She talked about the day care and night regime to be followed for a glowing skin.
