RAJOURI: Beating Choudhary Volleyball Club 3-2, Darhal Club emerged winner of the volleyball tournament which was organised by District Volleyball Association Rajouri under ‘Meeri Mati Mera Desh and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiatives at Samote in Kotranka Budhal, here. The final turned out to be a close contest which Darhal Club won 3-2 with set score being 12-25, 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 19-17. The winner team got Rs 10,000 cash prize while Rs 5,000 cash prize presented to runners-up, Choudhary Club. The event took place under the banner of Volleyball Association Jammu and Kashmir (VAJK) and supported by J&K Sports Council (JKSC) involving 10 prominent teams of the district. In the final Surjeet Singh, social activist was the chief guest, who appreciated the efforts of volleyball association Rajouri while interacting with the teams and officials. He was all praise for incharge district Rajouri association, Mohd Tariq for his efforts to promote the game of Volleyball.
