Ruth John Koyyala, a 29-year-old from Telangana, has become the first transgender person to qualify for a postgraduate degree in medicine. After a two-year legal battle, Ruth secured a seat in emergency medicine at ESI Hospital, Sanathnagar. She fought for transgender representation in NEET PG counselling and wants to become a gynecologist to serve her community. This achievement challenges stereotypes and provides inspiration for others in the transgender community.
