A man in India has been arrested for a crime committed 56 years ago. Ganapati Vitthal Wagore was accused of stealing two buffaloes and a calf in 1965. The arrest was made as part of a local police initiative to investigate long pending cases. Vitthal’s co-accused had died in 2006. The stolen animals were quickly recovered at the time and returned to their owner. However, Vitthal is expected to be granted bail due to his age.
