Previous attempts to ban these substances in 2006 and 2019 were unsuccessful. The temple administration released an official notification stating that the use of paan in a temple is a sin and warned of strict enforcement of the ban. The administration has sought cooperation from the servitors and officials to ensure compliance with the order.
