Jaguar asked to pay Chennai bizman Rs 42 lakh

Jaguar Land Rover India has been ordered by a consumer forum to pay Rs 42.7 lakh compensation or fit a new engine, as well as Rs 55,000 in damages, to a textile showroom owner in Chennai. The owner had bought a luxury car in 2016 but experienced engine failure within the warranty period. The car was repaired once, but the engine failed again and the showroom refused to replace it for free. The commission rejected the carmaker’s arguments and ruled in favor of the showroom owner.
