The Congressional Hindu Caucus celebrated its official inauguration and Diwali on Wednesday at an event hosted by the Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC) in Washington DC. RHC chairman and caucus policy advisor Shalabh Kumar hosted caucus co-chairs Elise Stefanik and Pete Sessions, and 16 other members of the US Congress. For the first time ever, a large number of members of the US Congress will meet to pursue legislative objectives important to Hindu and Indian Americans, US and India bilateral relations, and serve as a bridge between the Hindu American community and US policymakers.
