Safety concerns have been raised regarding the construction of the Silkyara tunnel in India, where 40 workers have been trapped for over 150 hours. Experts have highlighted the lack of escape routes and additional support in the tunnel, as well as the failure to follow safety measures and design principles. The region where the tunnel is located is considered fragile, with fractured rocks, posing further challenges. A European company involved in the project acknowledged that the geological conditions were more difficult than anticipated.
