The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed central observers for the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh to select the Chief Ministers. The observers include Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda, and others. They will meet the newly elected MLAs before making the announcement. The BJP secured decisive victories in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, but has faced criticism for the delay in naming the Chief Ministers.
