SRINAGAR, Jan 31: At least seven passengers died and several others were injured in a tragic road accident in the Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
They said that a vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge at Bujthalan Tatmulla Uri this afternoon, leaving at least seven persons dead and several others injured.
A police official said a rescue operation was immediately launched at the site of the accident. He said the road had become slippery due to snowfall.
He said the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
