Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Apr 9: Police in Jammu’s Arnia area claimed they have arrested a former cop who was evading his arrest in a triple murder case and several other cases of drug peddling.
Sadeeque Ali, along with a police constable, Bhupinder Singh, was wanted in the murder of three people—Sabar Chowhdary, Arif Chowdhary, and Babar Chowdhary—over a dispute related to cash and property in 2021 in Arnia area.
He was also wanted in other cases of drug peddling registered in various police stations of Jammu.
After he was granted interim bail by the Court of Additional Sessions Judge in Jammu, Ali went into hiding and was evading his arrest since then.
While four other people involved in the triple murder case were arrested already by the police, Ali was arrested today acting on a tip-off by a team of Police Station Arnia.
Post arrest, Ali will be produced before the court of law to decide the future course of action.
