JAMMU, Apr 21: Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal’s National President and MP Candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Ankur Sharma today stated that political empowerment of Jammu Province would be the top priority of his party if it is voted to power.
As part of his poll campaign, Sharma addressed series of public gatherings at Janipur locality in Jammu District, Karandi in Samba District, Manohar Gopala, Bain Glar, Thlora Mandi, Pashwalion Mandi, Sangwali Mandi of Samba District, Vijaypur Town, Village Diani and Village Sangwal.
In his address, Sharma pledged that he and his party will strive hard to ensure that the Jammu region gets politically empowered. He also promised a law for protection of cow, regularisation of daily wagers, and grant of ownership rights over the Custodian and Waqf lands to the people occupying these lands.
While appealing the voters for change, Sharma requested them to press the Bansuri (flute) button on the EVM to make him successful.
Meanwhile, Baridaar Sangharsh Committee Katra today held a press conference in the town and announced to support Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal (ESBD) as according to the organisation, their issues have neither been addressed by the BJP nor the Congress party.
A spokesperson of the organisation said that PM Narendra Modi had assured in 2014 that he would look into the issues of the Baridaars at the earliest but so far nothing of sort has been done by him or his party.
He also blamed incumbent BJP MP Jugal Kishore Sharma for preferring silence over the issue of Baridaars.
The Baridaar Sangharsh Committee Katra President said that it was only Ankur Sharma who stood with them in their tough times and this is the reason the Committee has decided to support Ankur Sharma by voting in favour of Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal.
He appealed all the Baridaars to support ESBD in the Parliamentary Polls.
