KATHUA, May 9: District Monitoring Committee (DMC) Kathua met today at Conference Hall of ADR Centre, under the guidance of Ashok Kumar Shavan, Chairman of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kathua (Principal District & Sessions Judge Kathua).
The main objective of convening the meeting was to examine the requirement of expanding the existing jails and acquiring land to set up new jails within district Kathua, depending on the current capacity, occupancy and future demands of the District and come up with firm proposal to update on the status of all the ongoing projects/proposals that are pending in the district.
Ranjeet Singh (Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua) on behalf of Rakesh Manhas (District Magistrate, Kathua), Rekha Kapoor Nischal (Secretary DLSA Kathua), Shivdeep Singh Jamwal (Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua) and Koushal Kumar (Superintendent District Jail, Kathua) also joined the meeting as members.
