Theft case worked out: Police

JAMMU, May 23: Police in Jammu’s Miran Sahib Area claimed today they have solved a theft case.
A police official said on May 21, one Arvind Razak son of Munish Razak of Khour Deonian reported at Police Station Miran Sahib that someone decamped with his household items.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 51/2024 under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and further investigation taken up.
During the course of the investigation, the police official said that a suspect Navjot Singh alias Shintu of Khour Deonian was detained for questioning, who confessed to his involvement in the crime during sustained questioning.
On his disclosure, the stolen items including three gas cylinders, one inverter battery, one LED TV and one stabilizer worth around Rs 52000 was recovered, added the police official.
