Zinc futures rise on high demand

New Delhi, Jun 25 : Zinc prices on Tuesday rose 45 paise to Rs 257.80 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded higher 45 paise or 0.17 per cent at Rs 257.80 per kg with a business turnover of 2,292 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade. (PTI )
