Selection trial for Junior Wushu team on July 1, 2

SRINAGAR, June 30: The Wushu Association of J&K will going to conduct selection trial for the Junior Wushu team on July 1 and 2 at SKISC Srinagar for the participation in the 23rd Junior National Wushu Championship scheduled to be held in KPR College of Engineering Coimbatore (TN).
Nineteen districts are likely to take part in the two days selection trial. Wushu Association of India has decided to shortlist best probables in the National Championship through selection committee of the Wushu Association of India for the participation in the Junior World Wushu Championship at Brunei from 22-30th September 2024.
The selection committee for the selection trial are Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee) Chairman, Maqsood Rather (Jt. Secretary KMR) Member, Faisal Ali (Padmashree Awardee) Member, Ajaz Hassan (International Player) Member, and Sher Bhadur (International Player) Member, Observer from JKSC Member.
Weigh in for all the athletes will be held at SKISC Srinagar up to 9 am followed by fixtures and draw of lots. The Bouts and Taolu events will take place after 2 pm up to 6 pm and on 2nd July from morning 9 am till conclusion. The Coaching camp for the preparation of the 23rd Junior National being organized by the J&K Sports Council will take place from July 3 to 23 at SKISC Srinagar and the team will leave for the Championship on July 23, 2024. All the players are advised to bring Medical Fitness certificate, Passport and Aadhar card for the selection trial.
