JAMMU, July 3: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi today visited the border district of Poonch emphasizing the importance of vigilance and the use of advanced technology for monitoring the Line of Control (LoC).

During his visit, General Dwivedi held a high-level discussions with officers stationed in the region. He addressed the prevailing security situation and reviewed the measures in place to ensure the safety and security of the border areas.
He was accompanied by M. V. Suchindra Kumar GOC in Chief Northern Command, Naveen Sachedeva GOC 16 core and Gourav Rishi GOC 25 DiV
General Dwivedi instructed the officers to maintain a heightened state of alertness, especially given the strategic importance of the LoC.
“Our vigilance is crucial to safeguarding the integrity of our nation,” he said. “We must utilize every technological resource available to enhance our monitoring capabilities and ensure that our borders remain secure.”
