Putin congratulates Lukashenko on Independence Day of Belarus: Kremlin

Moscow, July 3 : Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on the independence day of Belarus, adding that the bonds of friendship between the countries remain a reliable basis for the development of relations today, the Kremlin said on Wednesday.
“Dear Alexander Grigoryevich, please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus. It is important that the bonds of friendship and mutual assistance … remain today a reliable basis for the development of strategic partnership and alliance between our countries. Russia and Belarus cooperate fruitfully in various areas, effectively coordinate efforts in countering external threats and challenges,” the message read.

The further building of the entire range of constructive bilateral ties and strengthening the institutions of the Union State fully meet the interests of both countries, Putin added. (Agencies)
