RAMBAN, July 4: Cyber Cell of DPO Ramban has solved a case of financial fraud and recovered Rs. 50,000 cheated by online scam.
A complaint was received by Cyber Cell of DPO Ramban from one Javid Ahmed Sheikh, son of Assadullah Sheikh, resident of Darshipura, Banihal that he received a call and the caller claimed his cousin who was in urgent need of Rs. 50,000.
The complainant stated that voice of the caller was very much similar to his cousin and without verifying he transferred him Rs. 50,000 but after sometime he learnt that he was cheated.
After receiving the complaint, Cyber Cell DPO Ramban immediately swung into action and started enquiry into the matter and made hectic efforts and ultimately recovered the defrauded amount of Rs. 50,000.
